Mauxhall BESS

Project Location:

North Lincolnshire

Client Name:

CSE - Canadian Solar's e-STORAGE

Project Description:

OCU Group was appointed as Sub-EPC contractor to design, build and commission a new 25MW Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) at Mauxhall Farm, adjacent to a recently commissioned solar PV site near Immingham.

The works included full civil, electrical and mechanical infrastructure to support the large-scale BESS installation. Civil works comprised site preparation, drainage, roadways, foundations, earthing and cable management systems. Electrical works included installation of balance-of-plant equipment, cabling and full testing and commissioning.

Key Stats:

  • 25MW / 50MWh BESS

  • 12 × Solbank 3.0 battery containers installed

  • 3 × twin-skid PCS units

  • 1 × single-skid PCS unit

  • Customer substation and auxiliary transformer installation

  • 33kV grid connection infrastructure
