OCU was appointed by Yorkshire Water to deliver key works under its Clean and Waste Infrastructure and Customer Focussed Infrastructure Frameworks – a core part of its £650 million AMP7 investment programme (2020–2025). 


The Infrastructure Networks Framework covers delivery across clean and wastewater assets, while the Customer Focused Infrastructure Works Framework includes lead replacement, minor works, and internal flooding mitigation schemes. 


Following consistent performance across both frameworks, OCU secured a four-year extension into AMP8, continuing to deliver a broad programme of design and build works into the next regulatory period.

  • Created a dedicated in-house design team co-located with operations at our Leeds depot, ensuring seamless integration from planning to delivery.

  • Leveraged OCU’s strong regional presence through our work with NPG to embed quickly into Yorkshire’s utilities sector.

  • Deployed robust project control systems, including Primavera P6, CEMAR, and our bespoke OCU One platform, to drive programme certainty and efficiency.

Outcome

  • OCU’s success in Yorkshire continues to build year on year, underpinned by quality delivery and trusted relationships.

  • Projected metreage in Year 1 of AMP8 is nearly double that of any previous year.

  • Awarded new wastewater delivery workstream, expanding our role across both clean and wastewater delivery.
