OCU has been a trusted partner of Welsh Water for over 15 years, supporting the delivery of their Asset Management Plans (AMPs), and contributing towards their 2050 vision: to become a world class, resilient and sustainable water service.


As a Capital Alliance Delivery Partner, we are delivering a four-plus-four-year programme of clean and wastewater projects under AMPs 8 & 9. 


We are proud to have entered the Major Mechanical and Major Electrical Capital Frameworks with DCWW since 2022, adding to our longstanding role on their Pressurised Pipelines Framework, which we’ve supported since 2012.

• Deployed robust project control systems such as Primavera P6, CEMAR and our bespoke system OCU One to maximise efficiency and mitigate delay risks 

• In-house water design team, Purestream, adopt DCWW’s processes to ensure seamless ECI and front-end delivery 

• Proactive communications team engages stakeholders pre-, during and post-works to ensure clarity and trust 

• Scaling a proven water team with in-house recruitment support to meet AMP8 delivery demands across Wales

Outcome

• Built trust across DCWW and non-infrastructure teams, through consistent performance and transparent collaboration 

• OCU awarded a growing pipeline of works over the next 2-3 years, with further expansion expected into AMP9 

• Delivering a wide scope of capital works using OCU’s full design and build capability and direct delivery model
